IO 3 – SONKEI – Respect in Sport, Respect in Life educational manual (E-kit)

The Educational kit guides sport professionals to raise awareness and educate participants about violence and intolerance in sports. The main objectives of the E-kit are to identify and prevent violence and intolerance in sport.

The Educational kit consist of two main parts:

1. SONKEI Manual for sports professionals

2. SONKEI Practical educational tools

for raising awareness of children and youth about violence and discrimination


IO 2 – Violence in Sports prevention and intervention kit

Violence in Sports prevention and intervention kit for grassroots sports organisations

This prevention and intervention kit consists of the following:

  • Ethical guidelines
  • Policies of participating countries on the topic of violence and discrimination in sports
  • Child protection policies of participating countries (safeguarding policies)
  • Guidelines for educational sessions of sports professionals
  • Guideline for the trustees
  • The protocol in case of suspected and/or reported violence, abuse or intolerance

This kit is useful for children, youth, sports professionals, sports clubs/organisations and wider society. It is a tool intended for both prevention and intervention. It includes useful information on how to prevent violence and also how to react in case of violence and also how to react in case of violence and will empower people to do the right thing in a difficult situation.

IO 1 – Survey Report

Survey and data collection report

This report contains the results of questionnaires reported by eight organisations from eight different partner countries; Rijeka Sports Association (Croatia), Ginásio Clube Português (Portugal), Asociatia Se Poate (Romania), Karasu Gençlik – Sanat ve Spor Kulübü (Turkey), Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Bulgarian Sports Development Association (Bulgaria), FIJLKAM – Federazione Italiana Judo Lotta Karate Arti Marziali (Italy) and the Športno društvo GIB Ljubljana (Slovenia) for purposes of SONKEI – Respect in sport, respect in life Erasmus+ Collaborative partnership project.

The survey and data collection report include a survey of the legal framework in participating countries, a survey of the research on the subject of violence in sports (four target groups: a) sports organisations, b) sports coaches and sports experts, c) athletes and d) parents of athletes).
